Passion for Pilates & Yoga
Movement is Bre’s passion; she began studying ballet at the age of three. In junior high Bre was introduced to Pilates to improve her dance technique and to prevent injury. Working closely with Instructor and mentor Emilee Garfield in her hometown of Santa Barbara she developed a deep understanding of the connection between movement for the body and mind.
Having been introduced to yoga by her grandmother, she dived into the practice in high school. This practice not only complimented her Ballet and Pilates but it also brought her a deeper understanding of the mind. Breath and the philosophy of yoga was a tool that she noticed made a change in her everyday life.
Bre focused her studies in the Dance Science Department at Cal State Long Beach. She continued to grow in the art of dance as well as gaining knowledge about the body though Kinesiology classes. During her summer break of sophomore year at CSULB, she completed her BASI Pilates with Dance Specialization training with the wonderful Karen Clippinger. Bre began teaching Pilates as she finished college. Graduating May of 2017 from Cal State Long Beach.
Bre always wanted to teach Yoga as well as learn more about the philosophy of the practice. In Fall of 2017, she completed the 200-hour yoga teacher-training program through YogaWorks in Costa Mesa.
As a Pilates and Yoga instructor her goal is to empower her clients. Sharing her knowledge and the importance of a safe supported practice. She aims to have her clients leave her classes feeling physically and emotionally at their best.
