Educate through movement
Health, fitness, and activity have been a part of Meagan’s life from a young age. She
was first introduced to Pilates in her early teens through ballet to promote the strength,
flexibility, and control needed for dance. Now, she continues her active way of living
through her love for running and has recently racked multiple half-marathon finishes!
As a southern California native, Meagan is happy doing pretty much anything outdoors
including (and most importantly), walking her Australian Shepard “Clyde”, cooking, and
being with her family.
Upon receiving a B.A. in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach as
well as a teaching credential, Meagan began working as an Adapted Physical Education
teacher and is currently teaching in Long Beach with children of ranging disabilities.
Early on, with each pilates class Meagan took, her curiosity for pilates was fueled
further leading her to pursue a path as an instructor. Education and training was
received at Body Arts Science International where Meagan continues to practice and
teach at the BASI Studio Headquarters as an apprentice under the direction of Rael
Isacowitz and other BASI Senior faculty members. En route, the experience has lead to
her working with clients of a wide range of ages, fitness abilities, injuries, as well as
other limitations. Inspired by these experiences, Meagan is excited to grow in her
pilates career through continued education and is eager to share her knowledge with
others!
“I am motivated to help others improve form and coordination and get the mind-body
- connection through pilates and movement in our everyday lives!”
